This review is based on taking the online course RE10 Introduction to Renewable Energy.They take a multi-pronged approach to learning, including education (videos and copies of slides), training (interactive activities), and testing (quizzes) that reinforces knowledge gain, no matter what type of learner you are!The other quality I admire about this course, as someone who does an enormous amount of online learning, is SEI's care for balance in the design of the course characteristics: length of sections and lessons; complexity of content given the context of the course being introductory (technical versus unnecessary technicality); pace of delivery of information in the videos, passion of the instructors, and overall comprehensiveness are something they have clearly spent many hours trying to get just right!If you want to understand renewable energy, with a focus on solar, as a beginner this is one course that will give you the confidence to ask intelligent questions moving forward.

The online SEI free course is excellent. The tutors make the course easy to understand and enjoyable. This is a very fascinating field and very useful for development in the developing world. I am fascinated by the preparatory free course and would like to study the recommended courses. The deal is that I would need to practice the theory. I live in England where access to practice is a little bit difficult.

So far, I've taken SEI100, the free course, and plan to take my first solar paid class next. The free course provided a technical foundation for a layperson like me to learn more about renewables, the electric grid, basic electricity science, solar, and issues in less developed areas. It was engaging and easy to finish.

We've now completed several course for our team and we're looking forward to bringing more of our staff into the SEI community. Our Business goal is to achieve the NABCEP PV Professional Certification and SEI will be our partner to achieve this dream. SEI has amazing instructions and I guarantee you'll learn a lot. It will be challenging though. This is hard stuff and they will push you tom the limit. But isn't that why we became interested in Solar in the first place.
